  1. Open the project folder

Open a terminal inside the Nebula Swarm folder.

  2. Install dependencies

Core search works without API keys, but optional AI/media features will need them in a local .env file.

    py -m pip install -r requirements.txt
  3. Run the app

    py app.py

On a machine with PyQt6 installed, the desktop app will launch directly. Otherwise, open the local web app at http://127.0.0.1:5006.

Nebula Swarm runs locally on your computer, but search requests and third-party features you enable still go to those providers. Review each service’s policies before using them.
